Misdirection
Watching my morning dose of political media and hearing the reporting on how Trump is misdirecting the media, or trying to, to get the emphasis off of the Epstein files and the release of them. We have all seen the pictures of him chumming up to Epstein, but during his campaign he told his base he would release the information to expose the deep-state conspiracy and the pedophilia that he claimed, or the theory goes that the Democrats are in charge of all pedophilia in this country. The misdirection’s include that somehow, Gabert stating Obama should be charged for treason with the Russian hoax scandal, Hegseth blaming of the media reporting and not the facts of his own bumbling’s, and Mike Johnson releasing the House congressional reps until September to prevent having to request the Epstein BS for congressional review. The cover-ups are as obvious has the shifting hand in front of your face.
I don’t know about you but I’m so over this bumbling administration and the sad part is we all have to endure the comedic antics for three and half more years. I hope the MAGA bas becomes larger than Trump himself. He thinks he is the leader, but it’s obvious he isn’t. The billionaires that are in charge are starting to pull the strings and we are seeing a crack in the armor here and there in Congress, the traditional conservative media outlets and certainly the podcasts and internet talks shows not supporting everything Trump and instead asking questions about why Trump isn’t doing what he said he would be. I hope more and more happens and that the uprising within the Republican party will split it wide open. Not that I want a overturn to happen, but it seems the makings of it are building and that something is sure to happen. I’m not sure whether to laugh and want chaos within the party and administration or to be worried about how the government will survive and then what happens? A takeover? Surely, no one wants that. I do want the chaos and the cracks in the MAGA world.
The sad thing for me is that I see very good friends caught up in the lies of the administration. Believing that the Trump administration is telling them the truths and that any administration prior has never been able to accomplish anything. Even when I bring up how actual bills passed with other administrations, the rebuff is that Trump is accomplishing everything he promised. Those of us that can step back and evaluate obviously know better. If he track records holds, he will maybe sign two bills into law and then congress will flip and he will not accomplish anything the rest of his time. We can only hope. But there is a downside to the lame duck president with Trump, unless he is able to own the deferred things in this bill, then we’ll see another republican in three and half years. It saddens me that one friend in particular is eighty-two years old and will die believing in this orange con artist. To ever think you could trust him, is ludicrous to me. So we end our conversation with having to agree to disagree and me lying and saying we aren’t that far off in belief, this to maintain civility the rest of day and not have an awkwardness the rest of the day. I listened later in the day to him and his wife confess how poor the relationships are with their kids and not being to spend time with any grandkids. My thought while listening to them was that they are very opiniated and dealing with a generation that has lost faith in most everything governmental. I’m sure they never withhold their opinions and it just got to a point that the kids didn’t want to deal with it anymore. This is unacceptable to our friends and of the generation that they deserve respect and should always be looked as parents who’s opinions matter and should be listened too. I’m pretty sure of my analysis listening to their thoughts about what is wrong all the generations younger than theirs.
I’m brought back to the thoughts of what is wrong right now. The polarization of this country and the world is ridiculous. If you aren’t in belief of one way, your naturally considered to polar opposite in everything. There isn’t acceptance of someone that is a centrist and believes there is middle ground. That la la land zone and not someone that can be taken seriously. What they forget is we all get to vote, but what I think they count on is if things are so horrible that there will be a possibility that I won’t vote at all. If one studies history, we have been here before, more than once. Every time change as come in the political world, parties have morphed into something else, and I don’t think this time is any different. Just look at Elon Musk beginning the funding process to create the American party. Will the Republican party split? How long will it take for either offshoot to gain enough support to compete against the Democrat party? I hope that this country does survive and is able to grow with change and that coming to the middle of the isle will again be possible and what is desired. When you believe there is no way in believing that if you don’t believe the way I do, you are worthless. The arrogance of this thinking is what ultimately will cause failure of the arrogant parties and maybe both of them. Will Independents finally rule the world?
