Don’t Trip Over What’s Behind You

We are on the precipice of a new president that we seemingly didn’t learn anything from the first time around he was in office. His whole MAGA movement has been sold or duped to the ridiculous way of thinking. Those people that want change so bad that they are willing to go along with someone hell bent on making himself and his crony billionaire oligarchs donors richer and richer on the backs of the middle-class and low-income people of this country. My own cousin made a comment that we only had two more days of Biden, to which there was an onslaught of comments like, thank God, it’s about time, can’t wait for the country to get back on the right track, etc.  These are the people that think he’ll walk into office and immediately lower the price of eggs and gas, even they are both close to pre-covid price. These same people will sideline their investment money during a democrat controlled government and not believe that the markets actually are up over 27% for the last two years, unemployment is at an all-time low, more jobs have been created than any modern day president, more crude oil is being pumped than any time in history, our military is the strongest in the world, and there is a belief Putin is wrong, Isreal is wrong in their continued onslaught, and that their great white hope will somehow make it even better. One thing is for sure, if something be done contrary to what he say it will be, Trump will accomplish it.

We are already great again! What is not great is the politics and the mind-blowing understanding that seventy-something million people have been brainwashed into believing their lives are about to get better. Don’t get me wrong, Joe Biden is not my favorite president, but I’m not sure anyone else could have ever achieved more through by-partisanship than what he has done over the last four years. In the first go-around of Trump, the only people that believe he did more are the Republican Zombies that believe anything this conman tells them. At the end of the next four years, if we still have a democracy and he hasn’t pushed through some law change that goes back to allowing presidents to serve more than two terms, I will be surprised. However, if it does change, good luck beating Obama for a third term.

I would like to see change as much as anyone. But do I want to see change carried out as being proposed by only having staff positions that kowtow to their false God? No way, but I do think there needs to be some reform. At the top of the list is women’s rights and their ability to decide for themselves what is best for them medically and in any other way the wacky right-wing religious kooks think they know better. If you’ve been reading any of my posts, you’ll know where I stand on Americans holding faith in middle eastern men’s values and at the same time finding it deplorable in the ways of the modern day middle eastern man. Which, by the way, hasn’t changed one bit since the tablets were found and man wrote the governing book so many put their entire faith in without giving any thought to questioning what is written. We are living in the craziest of times, even though I know this country has been in this fight several times in our history. But each time we go through this, there is still anxiety that we will not come out the other end okay.

Now we have California on fire and a president coming in that would rather split that state off from the US and in the same breath take over Greenland, Mexico, and Canada. What kind of madman thinks this way and why do we have so many people in office that can’t and won’t stand up to him? Why, because they all think he will reward them somehow. My ultimate hope is the Republican party splits and creates two parties that oppose each other for the same territory of the so-called conservative side of politics.

Anyway, going back is not an option. Somehow, we have to move forward and un-brainwash everyone back into knowing what is right and wrong, moral and just. It is a huge task to accomplish and certainly an uphill battle. One in which I’m not sure sanity will win against. If more power is given to the one percenters, they will use that power to keep and maintain it for years to come. Maybe I can find a way to benefit from it like investing in the monopolies in this country and making myself rich in the end. Maybe that is the way to deal with this all, ignore the stupid and profit from it all. Seems I’m doing that all around me more and more. What a frustrating time! Try not to trip of the past in hopes it’s your answer to a better future and whatch your step to the future as there will certainly be a mountain of wrongdoers in you way.

    Opinions From the Bedside

I’ve been paying less and less attention to politics and world events the last few weeks but unfortunately have gotten enough daily updates to be frustrated, nonetheless. This White House administration has been the worst disappointment I’ve felt in my adult life. I can’t think of another one that made me feel sick for how…

A few day ago, the Douchebag of War, otherwise known as the Secretary of Defense and ex-Fox commentor, P. Problem is that the military as with all Federal employees are covered by…

I started this writing thing because I got tired of the irritation experienced from bottling things up. Back, many years ago, I went through a divorce. During that process, I was asked to go to a counselor for some reason that is unclear to me, then and now. The marriage was over, if anyone knows…

When I was a kid, I never paid attention to politics and current events. In my lifetime I never, ever, imagined that the United States would more resemble a third world country itching for civil war than the democracy touting country we all love.
