The Power of Angel Numbers

Angel Numbers…You don’t know what they are? Don’t know about guardian angels? Well, they are number patterns that you see over and over again or maybe after you are tuned in to recognizing them. They might be a one-time spotting of consecutive numbers. Maybe you see a 555 fifteen times over a couple of days and wonder why you are seeing it. They are out there and I’m a believer and hopefully you will be too. If for no other reason but to have fun.

They have numerous meanings, but all the scholarly types seem to agree on one or two things for each number. Maybe they aren’t scholarly as much as they might be psychic. There are numerous websites you can visit with loads of information with their meanings. I know, you’re looking at this and thinking that I have fallen off the deep-end, taken a nose-dive into the land of La-La, but I assure you I haven’t. I feel like I have become aware to my guardian angels and the hints they give me regularly. Ok, that probably still doesn’t give you a warm and fuzzy about my sanity.

What is a guardian angel? By definition it is a spirit that is believed to watch over and protect a person or place. Ah, but what if you are an atheist or a non-believer? Well, I suspect they are still there whether you believe in them or not. But a spirit to me doesn’t mean it is some spiritual being or presence sent by God to watch over me, it could be that they are spirits of my past. Maybe a grandmother or grandfather, aunt or uncle, maybe even one of my pets if the situation was right. Oh wait, that would mean they were still sent by God to watch over and protect me, so forget my first comment. Atheist are on your own to find the meaning that fits your non-believer thoughts. Can they be good and bad? Maybe, I choose to believe that they are there for the good of me which by that definition, they would be good, however the message isn’t always good. Or maybe I just perceive a message or affirmation is bad because it is contrary to what I want to believe. Maybe it is a crutch for me to have this conversation in my head with someone or something that helps me to reach a conclusion.

Look, a lot of people go see mediums, some read tarot cards, some feel divine interventions, and some just feel shit happens. But even in the sense that shit just happens, do you still ponder why, talk to yourself, and draw conclusions? What is that voice in your head anyway but an apparition we conjure to have that conversation in our mind. We all do it, we all have conversations with ourselves, and we all come to some resolute point about whatever it is we are trying to figure out. It really comes down to belief and what we want to tell ourselves is the truth and for me, I’m the only one I have to convince or should be able to convince.

Often times, I feel like my grandfather or grandmother, and now my Mom, is present and giving me advice. Is it merely my remembering how they would have handled a situation or what they would have done in particular moment? Maybe they are in our head always and they use things like numbers to draw our attention, making us aware they are there and that we are on the right track, or not, and they do it by prescribed number sequences that have specific meaning tapping us on the shoulder or something else that makes us look. Everything in life is a mystery and no one person has the resolute answer to anything of an unpredictable nature. Sure, we can all draw conclusions to something that has already happened, we can take data from a past time and build some calculated model of predictive outcome and then act on the information. For example, most of us make changes to our 401K’s, IRA’s, or individual stock accounts. We don’t know exactly why sometimes or certainly we don’t know what is going to happen in the upcoming minutes, hours, days, or months that will affect our outcomes. But, we use data to make our best guesses and we follow something inside that tells us it is the right thing to do.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that we all want to know the truth, but until we find our final resting place, we won’t know if there is life eternal or if the light is simply extinguished by the flip of a switch and we simply cease to exist. I choose, yep, that’s right I choose to believe that there is something more than this physical life and I hope that there is life eternal in a spiritual place once we are gone from this earth and when I go, I’ll return to my loved ones and try to influence them on decisions when they come to some crossroad.

With all of that said…Angel Numbers. I see consecutive numbers often and I do see the same sequential numbers over and over again. The two most common are 3’s and 8’s. I’ll see them randomly and, no, I’m not looking for them. I just have become better at recognizing when I do see them and I recognize that I randomly looked when I saw it. They can be on a license plate, maybe it is the truck serial number on the back of the trailer, or even through a look at the clock. I don’t remember ever thinking, I wonder what my angels are thinking and then go look at the clock or start searching anyplace that numbers might exist, I don’t think it works that way. You might pray or simply ask a question under your breath and then over the next few days you might become aware of something repetitive. Maybe you wake in the middle of the night and wonder what time it is, look and it might be 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, etc., this often happens to me. Anyway, 3’s and 8’s is not all I ever see, they have just been with me as my guide since childhood. Now, I wasn’t aware of them back then, but I find it strange thinking back that they were there. My basketball number from early on was 33 and football number was 88. I was drawn to them, I didn’t know why then, but now I think I do and have an understanding of the meaning behind them for me. Whatever you read about angel numbers, you will still take that information and internalize it to yourself. My meaning shouldn’t be the same as your meaning, but the context might be similar.

So, go ahead, start making yourself aware of these numbers. 123, 555, or whatever you are drawn to see. Pay attention and ponder the meaning, you are going to ponder meaning anyway, now you just have something that might affirm your thoughts into action. Mostly, trust in the power of your own mind and if your power comes from angels, you are truly blessed. If you don’t want to believe in angels, maybe believe in numerology, you’ll probably draw the same conclusion. Power is power no matter how it builds the decision or thought within.
