Surviving 2025, Will We?

I don’t know about you, but 2025 has to be the craziest year ever and we are only a quarter of the way through it. Donald Trump, with a little help from his co-president Elon Musk, have single-handedly begun a destruction campaign on American ways of life. Unemployment has risen to over 4%, the stock markets are down to correction levels, if not a bear market, the economy is moving to economic ruin, and he goes and plays golf in Mar A Lago every weekend at $10 Million a weekend. Elon Musk contractually is getting $8 Million a day for 130 days. With all of the raping of the agencies and firings of long-time government employees, Musk has only been able to save the Federal Government a fraction of what they state, and they silently go back and reduce their news agency reports the following week. Estimates say at best; DOGE has saved half of the $108 Billion claimed. Now with the tariffs on the Trump self-proclaimed “Liberation Day” have the stock markets falling over 12% in two days. Add on the 10% the markets had slowly dropped since inauguration; people’s 401k’s have taken a hit of over 20%. There isn’t anything about what he says the tariffs will bring to America that will occur during his term. In fact, Congress is finally starting congressional action to overturn some of his tariffs to Canada and Mexico, and we can only hope more and more of this will continue.

I saw a report, three days after the global tariffs liberating America, that the biggest economic loser has been America. Something to the tune of a 4% loss. The EU was about 2% and China was at .6%. Some of the smaller countries were making contact to negotiate, but these bigger countries have options. The short-sided vision of Trump is that he feels all of these countries will come begging for deals. Reality is that they are turning to other options and other countries. His bullying tactics are being met with smarter minds and a better economic resolve from these countries. In other words, they are thumbing their nose at him and telling him we don’t need you and we’ll help you achieve your isolationist view for America by accelerating the process. We don’t have the infrastructure in place to be self-reliant no matter what he says. Given another ten years, we might be able to pull it off if you had a consistent government through that time, but in three and a half years, the likelihood is that he’ll be out of office and all of his executive actions will be eliminated with the stroke of pen. Then you have to wonder about who will deal with us after the Trump disrespect to all and other countries proving to themselves, they really don’t need us. Our self-promoting lousy businessman of a president will take this country down to a country that will be in need of other countries to rebuild our economy.

I am reliant on myself; my actions are my own and my ability to survive Trump and Musk are my responsibility. Unfortunately, there are so many dependent on the aid the government was providing and certainly many elderly need social security checks to continue. He doesn’t own me, and he is not my leader. It isn’t a political thing as I have gained respect for presidents from both major parties. He will never gain my respect because a president first and foremost should not put themselves before this country. No one person has all the answers, but this man thinks he is the smartest person on the planet. Usually, people that have to tell you about themselves are, generally, lacking in the skills they tout. He is merely the idiot that was elected by people that wanted change, and he sold them a bill of goods he will never deliver on, however, he is a change. Not legally anyway. But they do have what they asked for and now are the ones shouting the loudest that they were duped. I hadn’t forget his first term and certainly expected far less from him this time around.

Hopes for a cure from disease have been eliminated inside of a hundred days. Any notion this government cares for people have been doused with each eliminated agency. He is a bad situation gone worse. He has closed the doors on the people’s government and is spitting in the face of those in need, the disabled veteran, the person born with some kind of defect, and the worst part is he doesn’t care. He doesn’t want to be bothered as he tees up his golf balls paid for by us, as well as his guests being there on our dime. He has delivered on the promise to make his rich cronies richer and the dream of having more money than they can spend. His payback to the DOGE leader through self-imposed contracts for the advancement of his business’s certainly skirt the limits of legality.

When will people wake up and admit they are trying to save face having voted for him. They made a mistake and giving him a little more time will only provide the opportunity for him to take more and provide this country less. The doubling down on the flags flying for Trump make me sick. All I see are people that must truly get off on chaos and seeing others destroyed in the process. Their hatred for people that think differently and live their lives in a way that opposes their narrow-minded view of morality. Trump has no morals and to think he thinks anything but contempt for people of faith, is a fool-hearted opinion of someone with no compassion beyond his pocketbook. His never-apologize mantra is guiding many into a world where hatred is okay, bigotry is just, and the elimination of the weak somehow makes them stronger. He is sick and contagious and is infecting this world with stupidity, blame, and retribution.

Hope will not fix this. Prayer will not change the course. Silence will only make him feel stronger. We must speak out, vote at every opportunity to remove his kind, don’t buy Tesla’s. If you’ve already bought, Musk won. Destroying your car or donating it doesn’t affect him for one second. He already has your money. Denial of your vote won’t change that he is in office, but your future vote will take him down and his hatred driven, retribution need, and his blame on anything but himself. Not wanting to talk about politics cause it will piss someone off is only helping your friends that are loud and obnoxious supporters of the Donald. What he can’t handle is those that don’t fear or show him respect and instead piss him off into another dumb action. His ratings are his strength and kryptonite. Its not too late, but time is not on our side. Passivity is a cancer that will only help him. Speak up, speak loud. The government didn’t need to change, but many people do. The government needed reform, not annihilation. God help us to do what is right!
