Shell Game On America

During the campaign, Trump talked about Biden as being a senile old man and called him “Sleepy Joe”. Just add that to another of a long list of things Trump says about others but is actually projecting himself onto someone else. Over the last year, it has been a source of funny journalism for some of the writers and news coverage such as MeidasTouch. They constantly post photos of him in cabinet meetings sleeping. This, but one example of his tendency towards narcissism leadership on this country. His life has been about promoting and only looking out for one person, himself. During his first presidency, it was tempered but showed itself often enough. He was part of the reason I retired from the Federal Government because I just couldn’t support his demands. He had guardrails then, but now he is unrestricted. He approaches his presidency as if he is the United States, he alone decides what this country will and won’t do. Congress is spineless and pretty much the majority has their heads up his ass so far that they have melded as one to him. Every government head of agency runs their agency as just another mouthpiece of their high and mighty Lunatic in Charge. Attacking Venezuela was one thing. A precision strike at the head of their government lock stepping the newly charged head of state to Trump’s wishes. Easy as pie, they fell in line and instantly we hear nothing more from them. Shooting suspected drug boats out of the water, never asking permission, just doing what he wants, and Congress shuts their mouth, looks down, and makes sure they align themselves to his desires and wishes.  He then moves on to attacking Minnesota and killing a couple of American citizens and defending the now unfunded DHS and the ICE-cold killers acting as border patrol in the middle of the country. Now, his biggest mistake of them all, his personal war on Iran. Nobody wanted it, was certainly unprovoked, and now he has no recourse but to follow through with his latest senility so-called excursion and once again American citizens paying for it with their lives for his crazy old man’s whims and wishes. The biggest laughingstock of the world, not just Trump, but all of us for allowing this to continue. Allied countries have told him he is on his own, to which he threw a temper tantrum over them not falling in line with his command. He has backed us into a corner and what does he do. He lifts sanctions on Russia to sell their oil. Enriching them to continue their fight with Ukraine. In the same breath wishing to defund Ukraine to pay for his war in Iran. How dare Iran for not rolling over to give Donald his win, his dominance and worldwide power. How dare our NATO alliance countries for poo-pooing his demand for their assistance while degrading them in the same sentence as asking for that help. And now that he’s bored with losing the war, certainly winning all the battles, he is now turning back to a more defenseless country, Cuba, to exert his machoism and let Egghead Hegseth talk about how awesome his Department of War (formally Defense) is and how they can annihilate the defenseless and weak. Iran, old news, change subject, and soon he’ll claim there was no war with Iran as any proper senile old Prez would do. Now that he surely knows he’ll lose out in November, he is trying to nationalize voting with his Save America Voting act.

Oh my God, will this bullshit ever end? I’m at a loss for words, I’m disgusted, fed up, and embarrassed that this man gets to call himself not just an American, but Commander and Chief. They will study this for centuries to isolate what trigger it was that got him elected and study after study will be conducted to prevent another Trump from happening again.

I keep forgetting that he is a mouthpiece for the ultra-wealthy. Somehow, I’m sure while we are suffering at the pump on fuel prices, interest rates going up, inflation rising, and countless other income losing sources for us all that the ultra-wealthy are lining their pockets with gold. The division lines will widen, making the rich richer and the middle class losing more and more. I’m drawn into thinking again about the study of people. During my upcoming surgical recovery, I’ve laid out several Malcolm Gladwell books and Eddie Gluade Jr books. My distraction from the horrible reality of Washington D.C.  and their war on everything good and the hellbent need to eliminate democracy and the constitution. Maybe I’ll find some solace in checking out and reading for my own amusement.

I wasn’t a fan of Biden, but at least he seemed to be a decent person and thoughtful of other people. Kamala Harris would have pushed us into a more generous nation but also would have driven a wedge deeper and deeper in the countries political divide. It wouldn’t have been her fault; she would have done what she felt was best for the country instead of what we got, what’s best for Trump. Maybe this is what we needed to unite this country. Judging by the polls, Trump’s unifying us more and more, and we seemingly aren’t getting behind him and his narcissistic assertion of what we need. The first year was an eternity, the second may feel even longer because we all have our eye on the November elections and the hope of dethroning the would-be king. I just hope we are allowed to vote freely and fairly and not have ICE agents standing in line looking at our drivers license, asking us a few questions and deciding whether we are detained or getting to vote.

I swear I know he is senile, but I can’t prove it. I do know this; he keeps turning up the insanity volume knob and somehow the distraction keeps changing our focus enough that we can’t find the pea under the shell in Trump’s shell game on America.

As you know from many posts, I’m an island person. It has to do with my personality type, as my cousin likes to remind me of the Meyers Briggs test result of INTJ. I’ve taken other tests that support this and one of the strongest factors of myself is I generally don’t put up with…

I started this writing thing because I got tired of the irritation experienced from bottling things up. Back, many years ago, I went through a divorce. During that process, I was asked to go to a counselor for some reason that is unclear to me, then and now. The marriage was over, if anyone knows…

I’ve managed to make a career out of dealing with reality and fact-based solutions. Admittedly, I worked in a world of technology, and with that comes a very analytical approach to everything, some would say even a handcuffed to procedures mentality. I don’t know about you, but 2025 has to be the craziest year ever and we are only a quarter of the way through it. • A’int America Great?

With the chaos going on in D.C. and the wholesale clearing house approach to firing federal employees to ensure only loyalists remain as employees, it is a travesty. Career employees don’t work with political aspirational thoughts. In fact, there is the Hatch Act that is to maintain a federal workforce that is free from partisan…
