Weird way of putting things, but it is how I feel. We are on the last leg of the landscape project and it is certainly winding down. I, on the other hand am winding up to the things that lie before me. I felt that after doing the largest project, both in scope and cost,…
For years, I have had this love/hate relationship with Christmas. Well, maybe even the whole holiday season starting with Halloween. I don’t know why, because I’m always excited to see pictures from the kids or, even better, to see them. I will say it has gotten stronger, this emotion or feeling I have. This year…
Jen and I have been seeing our anxiety climb and tolerance decline as we have gotten further into the huge landscape project we initiated and now the garage getting closed in for a game room and kitchen final remodel touches, well, we needed to get the hell out of Dodge before we choked someone. This virus has America singing the blues for sure. Very few, if any, have had their lives uninterrupted or challenged life as normal for more than a year now. We had a blundering idiot president that didn’t know his butt from a hole in the ground trying to make decisions that were and still are…

Every morning I promise myself that I will set aside time to read, but my reading usually consists of snippets of news information from either investment sites or from emails from the local news rag. I spend about 5 minutes everyday looking at…
Talking about mumbling under your breath, this whole antivaxxer and anti-mask wearing thing has gotten out of hand. The claim is it infringes on their civil liberties and their God given rights. First, God didn’t give any rights to people. Man has given rights to people and taken them away as well. God has nothing…
I was in the shower the other day and had a, what I thought to be brilliant, idea. We have a property that is being given to Jen and I as a result of us covering costs for funerals for Mom and Dad. It was my dad’s idea and although some might look at us…
There are so many things we find ourselves chasing to improve our style of life, reward ourselves for hard work, some to show off, or for some the need for someone to look at what you’ve accomplished. The last two go along with my favorite book “The Millionaire Next Door”. In it there is the…
