More Questions Than Answers

So much current affairs happening. It is really hard to keep up with the onslaught of change the new administration throws out each day. It seems so much of it to be smoke and mirrors to try some carnival move to get you to think the nut is under this shell, when it really is over here or even worse it was some shady move where the nut is really in the pocket and under no shell. So many challenges in court that you really need a scorebook to keep up with it all. It seems Trump loses every challenge but somehow twists everything to claim victory. Even if it is a direct loss, he tells you he really won and that it was his plan all along to lose it. Mostly that is always directed the uneducated twenty percent base that believes every word he says, texts, signs by executive order. The real objective is to get people to stop trying to keep up and quit caring so that they can do whatever they want. I know I have lost interest most of the week and spend the weekend trying to catch up to the rhetoric from the past week.  I’m very focused on my retirement account and money, in general, as we are starting to see the impacts where it really hurts us, the pocketbook. Gas prices are up, yet oil prices are down. That can only be due tariffs and the costs being passed onto the consumer. Groceries are costing more, but maybe it is a good time to focus on losing weight and spend less on groceries and supplies. I drove this week to California and have eaten lots of snacks instead of meals as restaurant costs are up. You used to be able to eat lunch for five dollars, now you can’t eat for less than ten dollars. None of this will resolve quickly unless Trump gives in. Mostly, that is what everyone learned in his first term, just stand your ground and eventually he caves. More questions than answers come from this administration. More display of how stupid all of them can be and certainly by those that are used to being in front of the public. Some are figuring out to lay low and not be the target, but ego-driven idiots like Hegseth, just can’t help themselves and keep landing in the bucket of shit daily.

What’s the solution? Unfortunately, there is no resolve that will happen quickly. I had thought at one point if something would just happen to Trump that made him incapacitated to do the job would put someone else in the position that is more responsible. But now seeing how each of the idiot underlings act, I have to say with a lot of distaste in my mouth, that we are better off with Trump staying the idiot in charge. Vance has proven that you can have a Harvard Law degree, and it does not mean anything more than when he graduated from middle school. Undeniably more of a buffoon than we could have imagined. Any other progression would be even worst if you can imagine.

There are so many things coming at us from this administration I want to scream. Nothing is built on trust, but instead on smoke and mirrors. I, like everyone else, am at the point of shear disgust for this joker. The problem is that is exactly what he is depending on, for us to tire of it all and not pay attention anymore. We can’t do it though, look at the damage done in less than forty days. My imagination can’t even fathom how bad he will destroy this country in three and half more years. It’s frightening. I’ve never looked forward to a vote as much as I’m looking forward to November 2026. If we’re lucky, there might be some special elections that change the balance of Congress even before then.

I’m visiting kids and grandkids for a few days and what a relief it is to see people that are indifferent to the world around them. Not my kids, they are totally absorbed in it all and are even more disgusted and unsure of our future. But my grandkids are pure and nothing but the most wonderful of thoughts exist in their little heads. Trampolines, climbing walls, dancing, baseball, and school are the only important things. Should that also be my priority? Would certainly free up my life from the inconsequence of stupidity and allow for mush more happiness in my spirit and soul. Playing animal search on a kids computer, playing to steal bites of a pancake and hearing the laughter of a three-year-old. Watching an eight-year-old play baseball and getting a clutch hit. Yelling as a grandpa on a job well done to his delight! He may not realize it, but I’m sure it might mean more to me being there than for him.

Doing daughter-do’s and sharing time with her wanting to learn to use power tools, well isn’t that every dad’s dream. Not just a son watching all your days of raising them, no this is different, a daughter that wants to make sure of her independence in ability is pretty dang cool, and one you’ll never have to worry about. All my girls are motivated in this way. Never seems they have hurdles, just challenges to overcome. Someone must have raised them right!

Yep, I’m thinking I need a priority realignment, a new way of looking at thee world. Probably going to have to stop watching Morning Joe, but that could be like weening off a drug. I get such a kick every morning watching them nail the previous days events right on the head and say what the rest of us are thinking. Please just never make me watch FOX News as they are just about as independent as the bitch to the prison controlling gang leader. Their fearless leader tells them to jump, and they ask how high and for how long? But it seems to work for the watchers that only want to hear what he has to say and not put much effort into thinking on their own. See, I’m back into the mindset just like that.

I certainly have more questions than answers these days. I must be like many Americans just waiting for the other shoe to drop and praying it never does. I hope this country has learned its lesson finally. But the reality is that in another ten to twenty years, the run on the American way of life that works for all and try to bring back to a point that America should only work for white individuals claiming they’re the true Americans. They are great at re-writing history and not so great in remembering who occupied this country first. Dare them to believe it was the Native American and Mexicans that owned this country. Bullshit they’ll say, Elon “the South African Apartheid” Musk and Donald “the Bigot” Trump tell them it ain’t so. I have more confusion than solid ground of understanding. The world is watching and telling us they don’t need us to make it all work, will Donald give in to them or take us down the river like six of his bankrupt businesses? Time will tell us all whether we did wrong as a country or wrong as a party. I’m done, I’m going to go watch my granddaughter play puppets and enjoy the rest of the day!
