A’int America Great?
With the chaos going on in D.C. and the wholesale clearing house approach to firing federal employees to ensure only loyalists remain as employees, it is a travesty. Career employees don’t work with political aspirational thoughts. In fact, there is the Hatch Act that is to maintain a federal workforce that is free from partisan political influence or coercion or being able to undertake any partisan political activity. This is to maintain impartiality of government operations. This witch hunt by F-Elon Musk and the Humpty-Trumpty administration to fire workers in a way that shows no analysis of functionality and the callous approach by this billionaire idiot is despicable. This dumb fuck laughs and makes a mockery of firing people like it just doesn’t matter the impacts to lives of Americans he is causing. He is so out of touch with reality in understanding how professional and highly trained and educated these employees are. My solution would be to have every person eligible for retirement, retire. And the rest fight through their unions. And for God’s sake, don’t play this stupid game of trying to list five things I did this week to justify my job. In fact, you are just providing the ammunition they want to have their AI program return an answer that you are not living up to your role and thus, you are fired anyway. But the burden on them to prove you weren’t doing your job and remember everything you do or don’t do is litigation ammunition against DOGE or providing them with justification or yourself. You get to choose who gets the benefit.
The saddest part of all is that it is not having any impact at all on balancing a budget. In fact, the budget bill just passed in the House will raise the National Debt by $24 Trillion over ten years, or less. We are paying the rocket-ship wonder $8 Million a day for his so-called services. It is costing us more to have him make a show of saving money than he is truly saving America in real dollars. A relative of mine posted her disappointment in the actions of her elected officials, not mine cause I didn’t vote for these MAGA (Morons Are Governing America) twits, and her friends starting commenting and immediately my answers came to light about who out there was still blindly following and trying to justify actions by touting the exact lies her leaders throw out as if they were the facts. This post and response were after Humpty and his Hillbilly sidekick ambushed President Zelensky with some great promise of a great deal for him and Ukraine because America would benefit and therefore his country would be protected. Sounds like mafia to me. Cheers to him for standing up to the Orange Goon Squad. As if he doesn’t have other options. I’m sure the EU would greatly benefit by a precious mineral deal and maybe China would even better. What the dynamic buffoon duo accomplished was to send Zelensky back to NATO for their support, Europe’s beneficial gain in greater alliance and the United States left out dangling in the wind. Everyone has choices and when you think you are the only choice, you will soon find out that you aren’t. Same goes for the tariff implementation. He believes he is the only one that understands how tariffs work and that using them as leverage to get something will only work when there are no other options. China is just waiting for these kinds of failures on this administration so that they can step in and save the day through trade with Mexico and Canada. Our food and auto industry are going to suffer the worst and then add in the deportation of the workers this country utilizes in jobs that Americans have become too good to do, well it is disaster following disaster.
It should be obvious there are far better avenues for Ukraine than the number seventeenth position country (USA) in supplying aid economically to Ukraine by percentage of GDP. Dumpty keeps touting over $350 billion in aid being gifted directly to Ukraine. Reality, it is $120 Billion and $70 Billion of that went directly to USA companies to manufacture those assets to be delivered to Ukraine. The EU has given a bigger number to Ukraine and as the British Prime Minister quickly corrected Trump when he spouted nonsense about their aid being loans and being corrected that it was gifted. European countries have given as much, if not more, military equipment to Ukraine as well.
Wouldn’t it be grand to see federal employees retire and walk out on all their jobs? Can you imagine the real chaos that would ensue? How fast would DOGE exist after that. Can you imagine how long it would take to rebuild the skill level of the nation’s workers? One thing is for sure, if they want the states to be more responsible and self-governing, there will be a great number of highly skilled employees to step right in and strengthen the state government functionality via employees. The other beautiful thing is that retired federal employees are paid through a very solvent retirement system utilizing annuities to pay them forever. In other words, no burden on the American taxpayer. Frankly, if you want to identify fraud, waste and abuse in government, you need to look no further than the executive branch and Congress. What beneficial gains are they making to American society with their backwards looking retribution government? Even the budget bill passed narrowly in the House and surely to be surgically cut up in the Senate has very little forward looking benefit other than making Musk and his billionaire cronies richer and the burden put squarely on the middle-class taxpayer.
This administration hasn’t been in the office for a hundred days yet and they are already causing damage that will take a lifetime to correct. Fifty years of gains for rights to racial inequality and women’s rights will take at least that long just to get back to the level of achievement we had made just forty days ago. All wiped away by the stroke of Trump’s crayons he uses to sign his name with. This country is not going in the right direction and those yellow backed GOP local, state, and federal officials that would rather sit on their hands in fear of not being re-elected are just as complicit as if they were signing the bills themselves. Complacency has always been a killer to advancement and one thing is for sure, their do-nothing attitude and breath that smells of Trump’s ass, are just as much ensuring they won’t be re-elected. Everywhere you look in government, it is filled with damage. Damage in the form of people, policy, lies to the constituents, and promises that have no benefit to this country.
