What Am I Looking For ?
I’ve had a lot to write about, however by the time I’m ready to sit down and write, I’m not in the right frame of mind. What I mean, as I’ve written before, is that my health issues are getting in the way of my ability to create. This extends beyond the written word as my ability to construct, deconstruct, restore, etc. have all suffered. Hopefully, this is nothing more than a relatively short setback. My other concern is that I’m pretty tired of the fuel politics provide and the world insane asylum of terroristic activities. For some time, the knock on the so-called assault weapons being the catalyst of mass shootings. No doubt the USA leads the number of mass killings, but there is a webpage I’ve been monitoring that shows this statistic of mass shootings by country. Liberal news sources never cover international mass shootings as it doesn’t fit into the agenda they want to exploit. Giving rise to their listeners that this only occurs in the United States. As with right wing media and their listeners, the reporting states things their subscribers are already thinking in their head and by choosing a narrow source of information, either faction of listener believes they are on the side of the right and everyone else is wrong. This isn’t exclusive to America as we found out in South Africa by turning on the tv and hearing exactly the same rhetoric we hear in the USA. We have an epidemic of misinformation and there doesn’t seem to be any change in this separatist type of reporting. Mostly, I feel I’m fed up with all forms of information and the believers or followers of this division of the world.
This isn’t the first time I’ve felt this way about the country, but it is when it comes to the world stage. In the United States, we have been through no less than five periods throughout our history, and I expect the same thing to occur as before, in that we can expect a rise of a new party and the dissemination of one of the current ones. Republicans are the most obvious for this to occur, but I’m not so sure that would be a safe bet with rising interest in independent candidates like Robert Kennedy Jr. and Joe Manchin. They both are historically democratic in affiliation but have both moved to the independent movement. I’ve always been an independent and have always followed my heart and research on who and what I back. It’s long been said that if the independents could organize to form one party, there would be more voters than the two major parties combined that control the landscape of concern for this country. Mostly, I’m so bored with the coverage of the lunatic Trump and the limp dishrag Biden. If Biden had had the intestinal fortitude during the first two years, he could have made significant change for the Democrats agenda. But his incessant need to reach across the aisle for support have made him a mediocre candidate for the 2024 election and certainly is less likely to win against a new Trump bid or even a rising percentage candidate Nikki Haley if Trump actually had anything legal stick to him. Teflon Don is the most accurate moniker I feel has been tagged to him. I think Biden has accomplished some good things, especially when it comes to the economy, but as that issue is basically resolved, what real change will he try to make on gun control or border security. Both are issues needing some real resolve. I’d like to throw the abortion/women health rights being controlled by men, but I just don’t see this ever being resolved at the federal level. It should be, but I just don’t think any successful legislation will ever be possible to pass.
Not one single issue scares me when it comes to impact, either on the individual or broad country scale. But then again, I think there are some real issues that need resolved. Abortion and women’s rights to choose the best course of action to their own health concerns is huge and even red states are showing the GOP’s that this is an issue that the majority of the country wants for women. I believe in the right of choice, but I also believe in the power of compromise or creative resolve. I believe women should have the right to choose the course of action needed, but I also believe it should come with a recommendation of a medical professional. In other words, I think choice should come with the proper information and not be a willy-nilly decision which I would assume is a grossly small percentage. In the world of addressing needs to be heard and represented, this is the issue at the forefront. I also believe this country needs to come up with an acceptable amount of weeks a women is pregnant to which a fetus becomes a viable human being. I don’t think a religious point of view applies as the notion isn’t addressed in the bible like other controversial issues such as sexual orientation. Although, even given that, it has been picked apart by truth meaning intellectuals. My thought is God and/or Jesus certainly would have some adaptable notion to change opinion over time as I would like to believe they would adapt to the modern times. We are after all, all created in God’s image. Of course, if you’ve been reading my opinions, you know where I stand on 2000-year-old middle eastern male ideology. I find it ideological humorous to think our world of religiously smart people are so handicapped by middle eastern male perspective when these same people have nothing but contempt for those of that region today. A seriously short-sided look at things, but somehow, they justify it in their minds or say its ok because their religious and political leaders somehow justify the contradiction.
I’m really in a state of disbelief. I find so many issues so shallow in importance that people get locked on to. So many regional issues that locals think are important beyond their local circles and are in disbelief that the rest of the country believe the same issue to be trivial and not applicable to others regional concerns. For example, California recycles everything possible and now has added compost bins. In my area, there is a form of recycling but doesn’t take glass in the streaming bin program. Mandatory composting would be laughable here. I’m not saying they are wrong, but to think everywhere else is wrong cause they don’t follow their example is somewhat short sighted. There are a lot of folks in my part of the world that feel California should be included with Mexico if the wall should ever be built. Obviously, this is idiotic, but it does show how different states feel about each other. I’m sure there are Californians that feel the wall should be on the north side of Texas. It goes both ways.
I think I’m looking forward to 2028. Maybe some rising star that rides the middle ground that enamors the masses and puts an end to the two-party system. I don’t need left-wing radical ideas anymore than right-wing nut jobs theories. I feel I’m a fairly reasonable man and see the world through realistic eyes. I certainly don’t have rose-colored glasses, but I’m also not pessimistic about the world. And I for sure am not a conspiracy theorist, in fact, I’m not really sure what kind of mind it takes to believe things like that. Please, come on! Democrats are alien lizard people trying to take over mankind! Maybe these people are the same ones that feel a movie star is a hero and stars are speaking to them and only them through their tv. For many years, I paid little attention to politics, didn’t watch the news, and could care less about social wrongs or rights of mankind. I know it was a naïve existence for myself, but I also know I felt better, slept better, and was a whole lot happier about life. Food for thought…
Everyone should be required to compost. Do you like living on the earth? Cool then stop being a twat and put your organic material in a green bin.
It’s ok to say something you’re doing is right and the other way is wrong, if that is indeed the truth.
I do agree about composting. Of course, most locations in this country don’t have supplied compost bins nor composting sites maintained by others. Most of us would have to deal with the maintenance of compost personally, probably eliminating the majority from doing so.
