World Order Chaos

No matter who you think should or shouldn’t be president or agree with the current running of the government or lack thereof, you must admit that it has all gotten out of hand and in only eighteen months. A war no one wanted and the expectation that every country out there ought to fall in line and bail Trump out of his stable genius decision to start the war in the first place. He was the only one that decided to do it, Congress War Powers Act was not invoked, so the blame lies with one person. The chaos that has ensued from Europe in their non-support and Iran’s newfound confirmation that they can control the Straight of Hormuz, has created a situation that has no end in sight with us bombing them and them firing missiles at their neighbors in the Middle East and our allies. There is also the threat to do damage on the soil of the United States. Yesterday, subpoenas were issued to five New York Times reporters for reporting on the president coming back on the old AF1 plane instead of the gift plane that has cost billions to the American taxpayers and still doesn’t meet security standards for the president’s number one source of travel. His ego and his unqualified patsy and temp Intelligence head requested and got the FBI to have the DOJ issue the subpoenas to testify before a grand jury as to their sources violating one of the most sacred things in the First Amendment. Will be interesting following this story, but it isn’t the first time it has been tried and hopefully, as with previous times, it will fail to produce the sources of information that merely seems to have made the president look weak. Good God man, I’ve seen thin skin before, but this is getting ridiculous.

When will everyone learn he doesn’t have the Midas touch? He likes his cheap gold look on everything, but it isn’t because he touched anything and made it, he simply ordered it to happen, and we must pay for it. In the end, it will be wasted money as it gets taken down and stored with the next administration that hopefully will have real class and not fake class. I’m tired of one man deciding what our lives look like and decides how our money is spent. I certainly don’t agree with having to pay for his legacy projects. If you must buy it, it more than likely isn’t deserved and would certainly never pass the sniff test later.

Stop reporting the on and off again negotiations with a country that can’t be trusted, Iran, not us, although many folks would say neither side is trustworthy. Sadly, we lost one of the longest termed Senators yesterday, Lyndsey Graham. I used to support him for his hawkish approach to being a Senator, but it has been hard watching him the last few years sidling up to Trump. But Graham’s legacy will las longer than the current administration and his movement.

But politics and the worlds response to American nonsense, there are other things that seem silly, but have huge annoyance factor. Insurance and getting clinics and pharmacies to accept the fact that I am now under a different insurance than the last twenty years. When you turn sixty-five, Medicare becomes your primary insurance and whatever insurance you have becomes secondary or you go get some Medicare plan that does it under one office. Most federal employees stick with their previous insurance, and it simply becomes secondary. But I never expected I would have so much trouble having health organizations get it straight. Jeez, it’s not like they never dealt with it before, this is a daily occurrence for them and should be easy as they only must bill Medicare and then Medicare passes it on to whomever you have as a secondary. I hope to resolve sometime in the future, but for now I’m not encouraged by current examples of intelligence or artificial intelligence.

The rest of my life is in chaos at my own making. It seems we can’t stand not having a remodeling project or doing some kind of update to a house. We are trying to refresh our cabin into what we vision to be something more than it is, but our visions aren’t necessarily in line with each other. Adding a bathroom or changing color schemes seem easy, but when one of the people’s suggestions are always met with a no, it doesn’t seem there is much “we” in the process. Must get better at trying to create an idea that is believed by the other to be their own. I have a lot of work to do to improve.

Healthwise, my recent surgery and subsequent ordeal with a scooter and walking boot have graduated into walking and doing some simple exercise to build strength. A slow process, but I am advancing. I seem hell bent on derailing things though with the amount of landscaping work with mulch and stone I’m doing. Exhaustion is my normal and in the process to remodel rooms at the cabin, I was loading beds on the trailer, and my foot went through one of the boards and I fell over in slow motion. Not hurt but did get some scratches. Thank goodness it wasn’t my newly repaired foot, who knows what would have happened if it was the one that went through to the cement below. Dodged a bullet there!

I’m taking today off, not by choice, but because Mother Nature has decided to drench our yards with much needed moisture. However, it does give me a little time to write. Which I must wrap up because apparently there are a few things that need to be discussed. Discussed means the other talks and I listen, at least that’s the way it usually goes. Who knows, maybe I’ll have some input. It could happen!
